Lisa Klug is an award-winning journalist, author and public speaker. She has published in a wide range of media outlets including the New York Times, Associated Press, The Atlantic, Tablet, Forward, Times of Israel, JTA and many more. Her first book, Cool Jew: The Ultimate Guide for Every Member of the Tribe, was a bestselling 2008 National Jewish Book Award Finalist that led her to present at more than 150 public events in the US, Canada, Europe and Israel. The Braid (formerly Jewish Women’s Theater), in Santa Monica, Calif. has also produced Lisa’s work on stage in multiple shows. In early 2020, Lisa volunteered in a Ugandan primary school teaching English and creative content relating to Israel, Jewish life and peaceful co-existence. An alumna of UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism, Lisa has also completed extensive graduate work in Contemporary Jewry at Hebrew University. She is the direct descendant of several generations of Sefardim as well as Eastern European immigrants who adopted Hebrew as their native language in the Old Yishuv. http://www.lisaklug.com
