During the meeting, we will raise key questions related to the teaching of literature and culture in the language classroom and discuss various educational concepts that guide this teaching. We will also present key considerations for selecting and integrating authentic materials that are appropriate for students of different ages and levels. The workshop will serve as an introduction to an online Short Course in collaboration with Hebrew College, in which we will explore in greater depth the selection of authentic texts and their teaching in a way that encourages discussion about culture, identity, diversity, and inclusion in Israeli society.
