בסדנת מבוא זו, נעסוק בשאלות יסוד בתחום רכישת השפה השנייה ובהשלכותיהן על הוראת שפה. במהלך המפגש נדון בהגדרות שונות של “דו־לשוניות” ובשאלה מיהו “דובר.ת” של שפה. כמו כן נבחן שאלות מרכזיות בתחום הידע של רכישת שפה שנייה ונעמוד על הקשר בין תיאוריות מרכזיות בתחום לבין פדגוגיה והוראה בכיתה. במפגש נחלץ מספר עקרונות מעשיים המדמים רכישה. הסדנה תהווה פתיחה לקורס אונליין בשיתוף עם המכללה העברית, שבו נעמיק בהבנת תהליכי רכישת השפה ובדרכים ליישם תובנות תיאורטיות בהוראה יעילה של עברית

In this overview workshop, we will address fundamental questions in the field of second language acquisition and their implications for language teaching. During the meeting, we will discuss various definitions of “bilingualism” and the question of who is a “native speaker” of a language. We will also examine central questions in the field of knowledge of second language acquisition and discuss the connection between central theories in the field and classroom instruction. In the meeting we will identify several practical guidelines to support classroom instruction that simulate language-acquisition. The workshop will serve as an introduction to an online Short Course in collaboration with Hebrew College, in which we will expand on the processes of language acquisition and ways to apply theoretical insights in effective teaching of Hebrew.
