יום העברית נחגג בישראל כל שנה ביום הולדתו של אליעזר בן יהודה, מחייה השפה העברית. בעזרת אתר האקדמיה ללשון עברית, עודדו את התלמידים.ות:
- ל”אמץ” לשימוש כיתתי מילה בעברית שהומצאה לאחרונה או להמציא מילה חדשה,
- להתכתב בוואטסאפ או במסרונים בעברית ולהשתמש במדבקות העברית הייחודיות,
- להשתתף בחידון האונליין “אליפות העברית” (למתקדמים.ות).
בעזרת אתר משרד החינוך, בחרו שיר על העברית ופעילות כיתתית מתאימה לגיל ורמת התלמידים.ות.

Have your students engage with Hebrew language and culture through authentic activities and materials, for the upcoming Hebrew Day (January 2, 2024)
Text in English: Israel marks Hebrew Language Day every year on the Hebrew birthday of Eliezer Ben Yehuda, the father of modern spoken Hebrew. Using the website of The Academy of the Hebrew Language, encourage your students to do the following:
- “adopt” recently invented Hebrew word for classroom use or invent one,
- interact in Hebrew via WhatsApp or text messages using the unique Hebrew Day-stickers,
- participate in the online “Hebrew Competition” (for Advanced)
Using the website of Israeli Ministry of Education, select a song about Hebrew and an activity that suits the age and Hebrew level of your students.
