Help students adopt effective learning strategies by reflecting on how those strategies are useful

Reflecting on the use and impact of learning strategies promotes student motivation and learning. Ask your students to share orally or in writing the value of using a specific strategy for them. Encourage their reflection with questions such as: what was the strategy – what did you do? What helped you? How will you use this strategy next time?
