    • Earn a professional certificate as a Hebrew language educator

      In a recent poll, over 70% of current Hebrew teachers expressed interest in earning a professional certificate that recognized their knowledge and skills as Hebrew instructors. In partnership with our academic partner Hebrew College, Hebrew at the Center offers a simple, virtual, but powerful pathway to certification that ensures Hebrew professionals can grow in their knowledge and abilities and can demonstrate they are well equipped to support their students’ learning outcomes.

      The certificate program is based on the Competencies Model, a framework for Hebrew language education developed by Hebrew at the Center in partnership with field experts and practitioners. Organized around four concentric circles, the coursework for the certificate program provides a course in each one of the nine competencies, with the tenth competency focused on professional and personal growth that is demonstrated by successful completion of the program.

      Each year, Hebrew at the Center offers at least one online course in a competency in each of the three outer circle disciplines: General Education, Language Education, and Hebrew Language Education, with all nine competencies covered in a three-year cycle. These courses are taught by respected field leaders with the academic training and field experience required to ensure the right balance between theory and practice. Participants leave these multi-session courses with an understanding of the underlying principles and concepts of the topic, strategies on how to convert this to best practices, and ready-to-use tools for the classroom. All courses are open to participants interested in only attending one course and individuals can decide to work towards a certificate at any point or after any course.

      Competencies Framework
      Earn Your Basic Certificate

      Take all three courses over the year or take a course from each discipline over multiple years and receive your first Basic Certificate. Participants can earn multiple Basic Certificates to demonstrate their growing knowledge.

      Earn Your Full Certificate

      Take all three courses over the three-year cycle or mix and match over a longer period and receive the Full Certificate. This certification indicates that the participant has taken a course in each of the nine competencies and demonstrated commitment to the tenth competency of personal and professional growth.

      בסקר שנערך לאחרונה, מעל 70% ממורי.ות העברית הביעו עניין בקבלת תעודה מקצועית המכירה בידע ובכישורים שלהם.ן כמורים.ות לעברית. ביחד עם השותפה האקדמית שלנו, המכללה העברית (Hebrew College), עברית במרכז מציעים מסלול הסמכה פשוט, וירטואלי, אך רב עוצמה, המבטיח שאנשי.נשות מקצוע בתחום העברית יוכלו להרחיב את הידע והיכולות שלהם.ן, ולהוכיח שבידיהם.ן כל הנחוץ כדי לתמוך בלמידה של תלמידיהם.ן.

      מודל היכולות
      Competencies Framework

      תכנית התעודה המקצועית מבוססת על מודל היכולות, מסגרת להוראת השפה העברית שפותחה על ידי עברית במרכז בשיתוף מומחים.יות בתחום ואנשי.נשות מקצוע. הלימודים בתכנית מאורגנים סביב ארבעה מעגלים מרכזיים, וכוללים קורסים בכל אחת מתשע היכולות המיוצגות במודל, כאשר היכולת העשירית מתמקדת בצמיחה מקצועית ואישית ומתבטאת בסיום מוצלח של התכנית.

      מדי שנה, עברית במרכז מציעים לפחות קורס מקוון אחד ביכולת כלשהי מבין התחומים אשר בשלושת המעגלים החיצוניים במודל: חינוך כללי, הוראת שפה, והוראת השפה העברית, כאשר כל תשע היכולות מכוסות במחזור לימודים של שלוש שנים. קורסים אלו מועברים על ידי מנהיגי.ות עברית מכובדים.ות בתחום הוראת עברית, עם ההכשרה האקדמית והניסיון מהשטח הנדרשים כדי להבטיח איזון נכון בין תיאוריה לפרקטיקה. המשתתפים יוצאים מקורסים מרובי מפגשים אלה עם הבנה של העקרונות והמושגים הבסיסיים בנושא, אסטרטגיות כיצד להמיר זאת להוראה/למידה מיטבית, וכלים מוכנים לשימוש לכיתה. כל הקורסים פתוחים למשתתפים.ות המעוניינים.ות רק בקורס אחד, וניתן להחליט ללמוד לקראת תעודה בכל שלב או לאחר כל קורס.

      למדו לקבלת תעודה בסיסית

      השתתפו בכל שלושת הקורסים במהלך שנה או השתתפו בקורס מכל אחת מהיכולות במשך תקופה ארוכה יותר, וקבלו את התעודה הבסיסית הראשונה שלכם.ן. משתתפים.ות יכולים.ות לקבל כמה תעודות בסיסיות כדי להדגים את הרחבת הידע שלהם.ן

      למדו לקבלת תעודה מלאה

      השתתפו בכל שלושת הקורסים במהלך מחזור של שלוש שנים או בקורסים שבחרתם.ן במשך תקופה ארוכה יותר, וקבלו את התעודה המלאה. הסמכה זו מעידה על כך שהמשתתף.ת עבר.ה קורס בכל אחת מתשע היכולות והראה.תה מחויבות מוכחת ליכולת העשירית של צמיחה אישית ומקצועית.
